As a two-time Olympic gold medalist and three-time overall World Cup champion, American Alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin had high expectations for the 2022 Winter Olympics. But so far, Shiffrin’s performances haven’t met her gold-medal standard.

Defenseman Jake Sanderson is among three members of the U.S. men's hockey team to enter COVID-19 protocols.

Sanderson, a sophomore at the University of North Dakota, flew from Grand Forks to Los Angeles to meet up with the rest of his team. While his teammates continued on to China, Sanderson remained in Los Angeles, where he is now isolating.

In a tight game of mixed doubles curling, Almida De Val earned Sweden the victory by knocking out China’s stones with the last throw of the game.

The score flipped back and forth between Sweden and China with the gap never greater than one point until the final end.

With the men’s 3m springboard competition at the U.S. Diving Trials heading into its final round, David Boudia maintains his lead from the preliminaries. If he can secure a spot in the top two, Boudia would be going into his fourth Olympics having already won one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals at his three prior Games.

With a mix of returning Olympians and fresh faces, the U.S. Olympic Swimming Team is sure to make waves at the Tokyo Games. In total, 53 swimmers have been named to represent Team USA, including an astonishing 11 teenagers making their Olympic debut in Tokyo.

In failing to advance past Wednesday's semifinals of the men's 100m freestyle, five-time Olympic gold medalist Nathan Adrian missed his best shot at qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Adrian finished 13th overall, less than 0.2 seconds from making the eight-man final.
